an intellectual is the type of person who has bound those books he has not read
and yet, the contrary is always true as well
art is a call to which too many who are not called give an answer
it is not freedom that is wanting, but free men
love is waiting for something delightful that when it arrives is tiresome
memories are interpreted like dreams
the failings of others are too much like our own
